Today we visited Leinster House and had a tour of Dáil and Seanad Éireann. We had time for lunch in St. Stephen’s Green too.

At rugby training today, we were learning how to tackle safely.
Today we raised more for the Peter McVerry Trust to help the homeless by having a ‘Dress Up for Santa’ day! Great fun and a very worthy cause as we think of those who are less fortunate in the lead up to Christmas.

Well done to the boys from our class who sang with the school choir at the Big Switch On of the Christmas lights today at the Civic Centre. It sounded fantastic!

The St. Cronan’s Christmas Craft Fair will take place this Sunday 27th November from 10.30am-4.00pm. This is a fantastic opportunity to get some great bargains for Christmas presents, and we would really appreciate everyone’s support.

Our new P.E. days until Christmas are Thursday and Friday.
The boys should wear their school tracksuits on those days, and their full school uniform should be worn on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
We started rugby training today with Mike Lea. We are slowly getting the hang of the skills! We will hopefully have rugby each Friday in the coming months.

Today we said goodbye to our Italian student Matteo. We were very sad to see him go!
Today we had a visit from Chloe Kinsella from SEAI to talk to us about sustainable energy. We did loads of experiments and played games about sustainable energy sources.
We had our first training session with our GAA coach Willie Braine today. It was great fun!

Each year, the senior classes in St. Cronan’s take part in the Bray Lions Club Peace Poster Competition. This year’s theme is ‘A Celebration of Peace’ and entries are due by Friday 14th October. More information on the link below.
To celebrate National Fitness Day today, we ran a class marathon. The 29 boys in our class each aimed to run 1.4km (or 7 laps of the pitch) to get to a total of 42km for a marathon distance.
We outdid ourselves, and ran a combined 59km in just 20 minutes. Click below to enlarge the photos.
Well done to Kyle who represented our class in the Cumann na mBunscol hurling blitz today in Bray Emmets. Our school team won all of their matches.
All of the boys have started learning the tin whistle. 10 minutes practice each evening will greatly help their progress. Below are some of the songs that they will be learning in the coming weeks and months.
