Over the last two days (and nights) we have performed our Reeling in the Decades Show together with all 5th and 6th classes four times for our families and all of the other classes in the school. It was a fantastic achievement, and we raised over €1,100 for Aoibheann’s Pink Tie, a charity that supports the families of children affected by cancer.
Today we raised more for the Peter McVerry Trust to help the homeless by having a ‘Dress Up for Santa’ day! Great fun and a very worthy cause as we think of those who are less fortunate in the lead up to Christmas.
Ar an Aoine, beidh na buachaillí in ann éadaí glas a chaitheamh le haghaidh Seachtain na Gaeilge. Beidh an rang ag bailiú airgead do Bray Cancer Support / Purple House.
On Friday, all the boys will be allowed to wear green to celebrate Seachtain na Gaeilge. We will be collecting coins for Bray Cancer Support who have recently been renamed Purple House.
Today we had a visit from Claire O’Carroll from Concern. She spoke to us about poverty and the effects of climate change on the people in the developing world, particularly in Chad, Africa.

All of the boys from our class together with all the 4th, 5th and 6th classes sang so well on the Main Street today. We received donations of €362.78 for a school in the little village of Matisi, Kenya.
This will make a huge difference to them. Thanks to all the parents who came down to support us !
Many thanks to all who donated to St. Vincent de Paul for our Cinema Day today. Our school raised over €900.
We were thrilled with ourselves that we raised a whopping €170 in our coin drive for the school this month. Considering that most of the coins were coppers, we reckon that this is some achievement !
Well done to all 26 boys in our class who took part in a 24-Hour Fast for Concern ! We learned a lot about the hunger that so many children across the world feel every day, and we raised a massive €727 in the process !
