We had a great day today. We loved visiting our buddies in their costumes too!
Well done to all of the boys from our class who took part in the GAA Blitz today and represented our school so well. We are very proud of you!
School closes this Friday at 2.20pm for Mid-Term Break, and reopens on Monday 6th November.
Happy Halloween, stay safe!
Monday 23rd October will be photo day for our class, so make sure you’re in your full uniform on the day, and that nobody is absent.
The Department of Education in conjunction with the National Emergency Coordination Group have made the decision to keep schools closed tomorrow, Tuesday 17th October.
While school is closed, it gives the boys the opportunity to get plenty of work done on their European Country Project and their Peace Poster!

This week we will start to use our new Reading Folders. We will have a set amount to read aloud each night, and parents are asked to sign that it has been done. We have invested in some new sets of readers that are really interesting, and the boys will also be encouraged to choose their own books from the class library or from home.
The goal is to instill a love of reading in each of the boys, and this will happen when they find books that peak their interest. Parents can really help with this.

Today Fr. Enda visited our class today to talk to us about our Confirmation preparation masses that are coming up.
Today we started to read the book ‘The Mystery of the Golden Stars’. It’s a story about 3 young people, Josh, Ricki and Maddy as they join forces to solve a mystery while learning all about the European Union.
This month we are going to be learning all about the countries of the European Union and the other countries in Europe too. We got presents from the EU too; a book with information about all 28 member states, and a large map of Europe to bring home with us. Lots of information on the link below.
We have a project to do too, and the guidelines are below.
