Christmas Art with our 1st Class Buddies

Today we did lots of Christmas Art with our Buddies in Ms Bridgeman’s 1st Class.

We designed Christmas Jumpers and made cool Rudolph decorations. It was great fun.

Christmas Assembly

We gathered with the other 4th/5th/6th classes in the hall today for a Christmas Assembly.

We sang songs and listened to stories and poems about Christmas.

Trip to Dáil Éireann

Today, we were invited for a tour of Leinster House by Junior Minister Simon Harris TD. It was a fantastic experience.

Carol Singing for Kenya

All of the boys from our class together with all the 4th, 5th and 6th classes sang so well on the Main Street today. We received donations of €362.78 for a school in the little village of Matisi, Kenya.

This will make a huge difference to them. Thanks to all the parents who came down to support us !

Christmas Cinema for St. Vincent de Paul

Many thanks to all who donated to St. Vincent de Paul for our Cinema Day today. Our school raised over €900.

6th Class Zumba

Today, with the big screen in the school hall, we took the opportunity to do Zumba.

It turns out that we are pretty excellent dancers!

Democracy in Ireland

In preparation for our trip to Dáil Éireann next week, the picture below is a link to some e-learning homework that the boys can do to improve their knowledge of the democratic process in Ireland. We will be going through this in class too.

The second of our preparation masses for Confirmation takes place this weekend. The theme is “Witness to the Spirit”.

Coin Drive Fundraising

We were thrilled with ourselves that we raised a whopping €170 in our coin drive for the school this month. Considering that most of the coins were coppers, we reckon that this is some achievement !
