Today, we all brought in a donation for Temple Street Children’s Hospital.
Some of the boys from our class counted the donations. We were delighted that €321.94 was raised.
Despite the rain today, we had a great time going bowling with our buddies from Ms. Bridgeman’s 1st Class.
A number of the parents commented on how kind and helpful we were to our buddies!
We even had some time for a walk along the seafront.
Over the last week, we’ve been working on our protractor skills in class.
Today, some of the members of Bray Emmets Senior Hurling Team that won the county final last weekend visited our class.
Those who visited included 3 past pupils from St. Cronan’s. Emmets Abú !
Today we met composer Vincent Kennedy. He is writing many pieces of music for the Wicklow Music Generation concert in March next year. We will all be performing on our violins at the concert. We will be doing a lots of work on the violin with our new teacher Sinéad Finegan over the coming months to get ready.
Today we helped to teach our buddies in Ms. Bridgeman’s 1st Class how to skip. It was great fun!
We are off to Bray Bowl next Wednesday for an hour of bowling, as part of Free Bowling Week.
If any parents are able to walk to and from the bowling alley with us, please let me know.
Every year, the boys from the senior classes in St. Cronan’s take part in Bray Lions Club’s Peace Poster Competition. The aim is to encourage children to express their visions of peace.
The boys should be working on their posters at the moment. This year’s theme is ‘Peace, Love and Understanding’.
